Wow. What a month it’s been. Just got back from a 26-day continuous stretch, starting the day after New Year’s...

First up was the new SimplyBe Spring and Summer TV ad, co-directed in Miami with brilliant director/mentor Bluey Durrant. Fantastic girls, amazing place, and the final commercial is pretty cute. I’ll be putting my preferred cut on the website over the next week (or sooner, if I’m allowed!)

Then was the new Jacamo Spring and Summer TV ad, for which I supplied the ‘Fashion Cops’ idea and scripts, then directed the ad - so I really hope it works. Jonny Vegas voice over as always - the man’s always a class act, and we got my friend Gerry McLaughlin (who is going to be a big comedic actor) to bust through some stunt doors which was pretty cool.

As soon as I’d finished the rough cut to Jacamo there was the new Marisota TV ad, again co-directed with Bluey, this time in Cape Town. Never been to Sub-Saharan Africa before and was really looking forwards to it despite the crazy work schedule. What an amazing, amazing place Cape Town is. I’m planning to go back soon. Flew back this morning, just in time to attend the final Jacamo voice over sessions...

...and that’s been my month. Pretty amazing. Hoping February will have something similar in store...
