Shot this ad with Bluey Durrant in Miami over a couple of (apparently) uncharacteristically cold days at the start of this year. Still, the scenery was beautiful and the ravishing trio of Candice Huffine, Wendy Brooks and Justine Culelenaere made this some of my favourite footage ever. This version isn’t the finished advert - that’s only 30 seconds and will be on TV soon - this is my cut of all the good stuff.
The shoot was not only a fantastic experience, but it also felt very freeing in terms of shooting with DSLRs - something I’m very familiar with now - for TV, and playing around with what you can do with them - underwater, at night, throwing them around on the beach, etc. I’m not very precious with kit and I love to be able to take a risk to try to get something special. I suppose that’s my motto for life as well.
